The proposed Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) is pleased to announce that it has opened applications for the 2023/24 academic session of the NUTM Scholars Program (NSP).
The NSP is NUTM’s flagship program aimed at developing the next generation of African leaders. The world-class postgraduate certificate program in Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Design is fulltime residential for one year. Courses are interdisciplinary and cut across technology, critical thinking and communication, perspectives, management amongst others.
Through the generous support of our benefactors, we are able to attract best-in-class faculty from Ivy League universities through a visiting faculty model to participate in the blended learning that combines classroom instruction with real-world experience. Having graduated three cohorts since inception in 2020, the NSP is pleased by its successes in equipping young Africans with the skills they need to solve local and global problems.
“At NUTM, we remain committed to the pursuit of world-class STEM education to equip Africa’s youthful population with the right knowledge and skills to transform Africa and impact the world,” says Dr. Babs Omotowa, NUTM’s founding President.
The NSP is based on the idea that talented Africans should not be limited in their access to world-class education, next generation analytical skills and opportunities to grow their professional networks.
Through mentorships, immersion activities, an entrepreneurial capstone project, and career development programs, NSP Alumni have experienced more than 230% increase in their career pay, and built thriving startups in Fin-Tech, Energy, EdTech and other sectors.
